Where Is The Love?

The world of football can be a cruel place. David Moyes will vouch for that - Fans turning on him this week with less than a season under his belt at Manchester United. We also saw Jose Mourinho's take great pride in turning Arsene Wenger's 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal into a veritable nightmare. Over in Spain, the latest Clasico was rife with foul play and saw Sergio Ramos sent off for the 19th time in his career. It begs the question "Where is the love?". Well ladies and gentlemen, the love is right here on Football Circus this week. We bring you a tale of a past-life romance for Arsene Wenger and a love triangle in Serie A. We also report on sex noises during an MLS match, Snoop Dogg and another busy week for Mario Balotelli. OK, maybe you won't feel all fuzzy inside but your faith in the football world's ability to produce quite frankly ludicrous stories on a weekly basis will be restored. Welcome, once again, to Football Circus.

Wenger has had No 'Plan B' for Centuries

The Frames once sang "Sometimes I need a revelation". Following his Arsenal side's 6-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend and their recent nosedive in form, Arsene Wenger's thoughts may echo something similar. And a revelation has indeed come for him in fact, though perhaps not in the form he had hoped for. A 'spiritual healer' by the name of Stephanie Cohan has 'revealed' that she and Mr. Wenger were engaged to be married once upon a time...in a past life.

Miss Cohan, who hails from Bromley in the UK, made the outlandish claim in an interview with News Shopper. She has alleged to the newspaper, that in the 15th century, she and Wenger embarked on a romance but not under their current guises...For back then, Cohan was Joan of Arc while Wenger was the Dauphine of France.
Said Cohan:

"Mr Wenger and I were engaged in a previous life.

"We had a romance when I was Joan of Arc and he was the Dauphine of France.

"He was the same man we know him to be today. Highly intelligent but very stubborn. His big problem is he never has a plan B.

"Arsenal will not win the Premier League this season because of that".

If Cohan's comments are anything to go by, Arsenal fans may not hold out too much hope for their season finale.

Mutu to Star in Snoop Dogg Video

Romanian striker Adrian Mutu is being lined up to star in an upcoming Snoop Dogg video. The ex-Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and Fiorentina man, who rarely seems far from the limelight, is the subject of the bizarre link after being recommended for a role in the video by its director Massimo Caroletti.

According to Caroletti, Mutu is destined for a future in showbiz once he finally hangs up his boots:
"So far I’ve used other actors in the videos we’ve made, but I found that Mutu has great potential.
"I’ve personally championed Adrian’s inclusion, and the whole team sees him as a good candidate.
"We will do the casting and auditions, and only then (we) will shoot the video. We will be filming in mid-April at Gyor ETO Stadium with a team of over 20 people.

"I’ve known him for two years and we've built a friendship that grows stronger every day. I respect him very much because he is sincere and serious person. From my point of view, his future is in showbiz".
35 year old Mutu, currently still playing for Petrolul Ploiești in his home country, last week posted an Instagram picture of a newspaper article linking him with the role, accompanied by the caption: "Coming soon!!stay tuned!!".

Fans Moaning? Orgasmic Football? Nope, Just the Sound of a Woman having Sex during Match

Saturday's MLS encounter between Columbus Crew and Philadelphia Union was broadcast on the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (TWSC). The game finished 2-1 to Columbus Crew and all the goals were scored in just over an hour of play. But it was action of a different kind in the 75th minute that grabbed the real headlines here.

Seemingly unbeknownst to the TV channel, fans managed to hijack one of the TWSC microphones as the match was broadcast live across the good ol' US of A, albeit for a very brief period. The television audience were left stunned as the sound of a woman having sex (complete with moans of "Aw yeah, get in there!") could be heard as the not-quite-as-exciting match played out.

The audio mishap went on for almost a minute before the network wised up to what was happening.
TWSC later released the following statement:

"We apologize to viewers who heard inappropriate noises during our telecast of yesterday's Columbus Crew game.Iit is unfortunate that a fan prank interfered with our live production and we will prevent that from happening in our future telecasts".

What's Mad Mario Upto this Week?

Balotelli has this week been publicly given some advice from his national team manager, Cesare Prandelli. Prandelli's words of wisdom have come on foot of some severe criticism for Balotelli of late from the media, fans and even some former Milan players and staff. The Italian manager told the press:

"Balotelli is an important player for the national team, like a lot of other players,” Prandelli said while attending an Illumia promotional event.

"But he must arrive at the World Cup fully prepared.

"It would serve Balotelli well to listen to Seedorf and to use the emotions he is feeling to express himself out on the pitch.

"When an emotion is channelled well it is always appreciated.

"He is in good hands, Seedorf knows how to handle great champions as he was one himself.
"Balotelli has always behaved well with the national team".

Whether or not Balo will take Prandelli's words on board remains to be seen, but an elusive tweet which he posted this week was interpreted by some members of the media as a hint that his relationship with AC Milan was fast deteriorating. Balotelli tweeted a picture with the caption:

"Life is full of fake people. Do not believe in anybody".

Balo was quick to clarify that his tweet was not directed at his club by posting a follow up tweet the next day however, which roughly translated as:

"I was referring to everyday life. (I don't think it was a controversial statement) bah! FORZA MILAN anyway".

Balotelli then proved just how dedicated he was to the Milan cause on Wednesday evening, scoring a wonderful free kick to help the team to a 2-0 victory over Fiorentina.

While Super Mario's future at AC Milan may seem a little more secure, he would appear to be back on the market when it comes to his love life. Girlfriend (ex?) Fanny Neguesha has been busy this week, updating her Instagram relationship status to 'single' and both parties have deleted photos of the other from their Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. The news comes after last week's allegations that Balotelli partook in a 'foursome' with a Playboy model, his brother Enoch and Enoch's wife.

Icardi again Professes Love for Wanda Nara, Maxi Lopez's Ex-Girlfriend

You may recall that back in November we reported on a love triangle involving Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi, his former teammate Maxi Lopez and Lopez's ex-girlfriend Wanda Nara. Icardi at the time had tweeted Nara:
"I love you, it is not simple to say how I feel, because I discovered that those two words carry with them one feeling without limits!".

For her part, Nara had by then dumped Maxi Lopez and publicly bad-mouthed their sex life, or lack thereof. Questions were asked as to whether Icardi had taken advantage of Lopez's faltering relationship with Nara to make his move, while many pondered whether Nara indeed had feelings for Inter star Icardi.

Was Icardi's love unrequited? Well considerring Nara's Instagram account now looks something like, this, it would seem that particular question has been met with an emphatic "no":

As if Maxi Lopez hadn't had his face rubbed in it enough, his old buddy Icardi celebrated scoring for Inter against Atalanta by revealing a t-shirt with the message: "WAN I LOVE YOU".

Chin up, Maxi son. We hear Fanny Neguesha's available. Perhaps the two could exchange numbers. They could call it, "When Maxi met Fanny". Although that sounds somewhat like an ad for sanitary towels so maybe not.
